Meet the Lightspeed team


Farid Naib

Chief Executive Officer


Farid Naib joined Lightspeed Financial Services Group as the CEO and joined the Lightspeed Holdings’ Board of Directors in 2018. Previously he was on the Lightspeed Financials’ Board of Directors in September 2012 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lightspeed Trading in 2014. Mr. Naib founded FNX Limited, a leading provider of global over-the-counter trading technology to the world’s largest financial institutions. FNX was acquired by GL Trade (now part of SunGard) in 2007. He also has served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as a board member of GAIN Capital, and is an operating partner at LLR. Mr. Naib has over 30 years of experience in the financial technology industry as an entrepreneur, investor, and manager.


Thomas Gibb

President & COO

Thomas Gibb began his career in electronic trading and trading systems in 2002. Mr. Gibb joined Lightspeed Trading in 2006 and throughout his tenure held varius roles inluding Head of Trading Operations, Director of Client Service, EVP of Brokerage Operations, and in 2015 Co-President. Mr. Gibb joined Lightspeed Financial Services Group in 2018 where he began as Co-President before becoming President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gibb has 18 years of experience in the brokerage industry.

Keith Petzold

Chief Compliance Officer

Keith Petzold joined Lightspeed Financial Services Group in 2018 and serves as Chief Compliance Officer. Before joining the Company, Mr. Petzold was the CCO at Lightspeed Trading and has held a variety of senior roles in the compliance units of Schonfeld Securities and HD Brous & Company. Mr. Petzold has over 25 years of experience in the brokerage industry.

David Chaskin

Chief Financial Officer

David Chaskin joined Lightspeed in 2023 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chaskin has held CFO roles with several broker dealers, including, Weild & Co. and Aritas Group, Inc. Mr. Chaskin has more than 25 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management within start-ups and multi-billion-dollar organizations.

William Kehl

Chief Technology Officer

William Kehl joined Lightspeed in 2021 through the acquisition of Coinigy, a firm he founded in 2014. Mr. Kehl brings over a decade of experience in financial technology. Committed to driving innovation, Mr. Kehl aims to enhance operations and improve the user experience at Lightspeed, positioning the company as a leader in financial technology.

Ellen Wile

Chief Project Officer

Ellen Wile was appointed Chief Project Officer in 2024. With over 20 years of experience in the brokerage industry, Ms. Wile brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Prior to joining Lightspeed in 2018, she served as head of operations at Lime Brokerage, AVP Equity Operations at ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago, LLC, and as a Relationship Manager at Penson Financial Services, Inc. Throughout her career, Ellen has demonstrated a strong commitment to operational excellence and strategic project management.
