Did you know that you can configure Hot buttons and Hot Keys for Options too?
Start buy clicking on the gear on the top right of the Option level 2 Order ticket.
Next, check the button next to Hot Buttons under OptionLevel2 Settings.
After that, click on the Command tab to create your Hot Button. My example is to buy 10 calls, to open or close at the Mid-Point. I want the order to be sent to market instead of populate the order ticket. I named it BUY10MID - then click on 'Add' and the text will move to the Saved commands. It is important not to use any special characters when naming any Hot Key or Hot Button.
Next, add the Hot button to the Level 2 window. Open the settings back up like before by clicking on the gear. Change to the Hot Button tab. Find the Saved Command on the left, click on it and then 'Add.' The command will go to the right. Next, hit 'OK.'
The Hot button will appear at the bottom of the Option Level 2 ticket ready to use.
In order to also use a keyboard combination to send the order with a Hot Key instead of a Hot Button, use the gear in any window. Change to the Keyboard tab. Change the drop-down to Custom Orders, find the option command you created, and click on it on the right and then choose the keyboard combo where you wish to map it on the left. Last, click 'Map' and then, OK. It should now be ready to use as either a Hot Button or Hot Key.
